RAF equipment lands at Leighton Buzzard line

Locomotives, wagons and a quantity of track from the RAF Museum Reserve Collection at Stafford were delivered to the Leighton Buzzard Railway on November 6. The equipment, originally from the 2ft gauge RAF Chilmark line in Wiltshire, which closed in 1995, included Baguley-Drewry battery-electric locomotive No. NG23 (BD 3702/1973) and red-painted'fire engine' locomotive Ruston & Hornsby 44/48hp Class AMW No. 165 (RH 194784/1939). Neither is operational. The Baguley-Drewry is the first battery-electric in the LBR collection.
