￡1.5m contract for on-train CCTV

Bombardier Transportation has awarded security and surveillance system supplier Petards a ￡1.5million contract to supply on-board digital CCTV systems. The 'eyeTrain' systems will to be fitted by Bombardier to 97 Class 465 trains operated by Southeastern. Deliveries of the systems are expected to start in early 2011 and to be completed by the end of the year. The'eyeTrain'system captures video from the seating and doorway areas of trains.
