Summer comings and qoinqs at Llanqollen

The Llangollen Railway's core steam fleet through the summer has comprised No. 7822 Foxcote Manor, 'Black Five' No. 44806 Kenneth Aldcroft and GWR 2-8-0 No. 3802. This trio offender locos was joined by Llangollen-based locos which have been out on hire (BR 2-6-4T No. 80072 at the North Yorkshire Moors and Pannier No. 6430 at South Devon) for the Dee Valley line's August 31 -September 1 -2 autumn gala, which did not involve any visiting locos. Following the gala, No. 80072 left to start a hire spell at the Chinnor& Princes Risborough Railway as anticipated in last month's RM.
