1. Eastfield engine shed (coded 65A by BRJ is seen above on July 12,1956 - a time when there would be around 140 locomotives on shed on a Sunday afternoon such as this. Among those visible are members of Classes A4, K2, ID34, N15, J37, V3, J72 and Bl. The picture was taken at the east end of the depot, from a bridge that used to carry the ex-Caledonian line from Maryhill across to Blackhill Junction. (Now see top of facing page.)
