The 4253 Locomotive Company, restoring ex-Barry GWR 2-8-0T No.4253 at Rolvenden, has completed the hot-riveting of the bunker, with assembly of prepared sheets for the cab next in line. The right-side tank has been dismantled ready for reconstruction using the angle iron and plate work as patterns. Work has also continued on the boiler, with the firebox tube ends ground out and the tubes ready for removal in mid-April.
