THE 07.40 Norwich-London Liverpool Street, formed of Stadler unit No. 745010, failed at Forest Gate on January 28. After a number of unsuccessful attempts to rectify the fault, a rescue loco was sent from Colchester, but on arrival, it was found neither of the two couplers bought to site were suitable, the first having an air leak and the second being incompatible.
