The Calligraphy Book of Mary of Burgundy

Her father ordered a calligraphy book with an elegant alphabet and fine drawings for Mary of Burgundy. Around 1550, this calligraphy book was copied to the last detail. The original was heavily damaged during that process. However, the copy from 1550 now resides in Brussels in perfect condition (Bibliotheque royale de Belgique, Ms. Ⅱ 845). The bibliophile art book edition reproduces the carefully cal-ligraphed and richly embellished alphabet letters on finely printed handmade paper.
