Harvey takes on RAmpage 6400 MPFSV

US operator Harvey Gulf International is poised to take delivery of its new multipurpose field support vessel (MPFSV), Harvey Stone. Designed by Canadian architect and tug specialist Robert Allan Limited (RAL), and built by Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Harvey Stone was built to the specifications of RAL's RAmpage 6400 class, and features a length of 64.8m, a breadth of 18m and a depth of 7.8m. The MPFSV has been fitted with a pair of GE Marine 12V250MDC main diesel engines, each rated 3,500kW, as well as: two Twin Disc HLPS95 gears; two Schottel SRP 3030 nozzled, controllable pitch propellers; and two Schottel STT 2FP bow thrusters, powered by 600kW electric motors.
