Japanese joint venture takes over Carter Holt Harvey

The New Zealand pulp, paper, and packaging manufacturer Carter Holt Harvey (CHH) is being sold to a Japanese joint venture for more than NZDIbn (appr. €620m). The listed company Oji Holding Corp. is acquiring 60% of the shares and Innovation Network Corp. of Japan, a state-owned investment fund based in Tokyo, gets 40%.
