Second UK carrier due to be commissioned

As of early December 2019, the second of two Queen Elizabeth class carriers for the UK Royal Navy, HMS Prince of Wales, was making good progress in its sea trials programme. The aircraft carrier exited Rosyth dockyard for the first time on 19 September 2019 to undertake nine weeks of sea trials in the North Sea, and in mid-November sailed into her home port of Portsmouth Naval Base for the first time following the successful completion of those trials, nearly two weeks ahead of schedule.
