Annex III, bulk cargoes, and alternate hold loading discussed at IMO

At the end of September, BIMCO representatives attended the eighth session of IMO's Sub-Committee on Dangerous Goods, Solid Cargoes and Containers (DSC 8). The agenda item dealt mainly with the following 1. harmonising the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code) with United Nations recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods 2. amendments to the IMDG Code and supplements 3. review of Annex III of MARPOL 73/78.
