The new SLICE crewboat design from Lockheed Martin could revolutionise travel by sea Fbma Marine, the specialist shipyard in Cebu, Philippines, has recently completed the world's first SLICE (Slice is not an acronym) crew vessel, developed by Lockheed Martin's Littoral Ships & Systems business unit. The ship's patented Sea SLICE technology design will enable the small waterplane-area twin hull (SWATH) ship to operate with the steadiness of a larger ship and sustain higher cruising speeds even in rough seas.
