The event is said to be the most informative and longest established two-day technical conference for the global shipping industry. It brings together senior management and key decision-makers to discuss, debate and share information and views on industry issues of crucial importance - today and well into the future. Underscoring the importance of the topics discussed and the forum, last year's conference welcomed delegates from 19 countries, with 38% of attendees at director or CEO level. The impending reduction of sulphur emission limits in ECAs, implemented from 1 January, was a prime concern. While operators have already adapted their operations to the new rules, the long-term operation is far from certain.
