A building at Tinker AFB, Okla., is the first facility in the U.S. Air Force to receive a Brownfields certificate on a former industrial site. The 2.97-million-ft2 building and its 430-acres of land previously was a General Motors manufacturing plant that was acquired by Oklahoma County and leased to the Air Force through a public-private partnership.
