Heroes of Light (Part 1)

For the 1999 Charles Marques Memorial lecture at the Royal Institution, Adam Hart-Davis, the bicycling presenter of the BBC2 series 'Local Heroes', offered his own inimitable and eccentric version of the lives of the great British scientists associated with light. The lecture was illustrated with bench-top re-creations of their famous experiments and discoveries.
