Minister for Trade & Commerce to launch new CPD criteria

Minister of State for Trade & Commerce at the Department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment, John McGuinness T.D. is to launch a major new framework of criteria for the achievement of the CPD Accreditation standard as an employer of engineers. The October 15th launch, exclusive to CPD Accredited employers, marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of the CPD Accreditation scheme which is co-funded by the Department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment through the National Training Fund. The revised criteria have been developed by Engineers Ireland's CPD Accreditation team after they undertook a detailed benchmarking study of the 100 leading organisations already accredited through the lifelong learning programme for employers of engineers and technicians.
