Pilot conversion course delivers on jobs front

Responding to challenges articulated by the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs, in March 2011, a five-month training programme was launched, designed to enable qualified engineers and technicians from 'traditional' disciplines to work in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and life sciences sectors. Aidan Harney, CPD Director, Engineers Ireland, outlines the findings of an independent evaluation of the programme.
