BP Amoco Oats system cuts sulphur emissions

New petrol desulphurisation technology, which could reduce the cost of producing low-sulphur petrol to meet current and future environmental legislation, has been developed by oil producer BP Amoco. The advance is particularly timely, following the recent pre-Budget report by chancellor Gordon Brown that outlined the government's decision to reduce tax on low-sulphur fuels.
