Jiaduobao, one of China's two leading producers of canned herbal tea, has launched its products in sleek cans for the first time. The move to the taller and thinner 310ml format is part of a plan by the drinks manufacturer to differentiate itself from its main competitor Wanglaoji, and includes a switch to 211-diameter 310ml aluminium cans decorated in eye-catching red and gold. Billions of the herbal tea cans are produced each year for Chinese consumers, far outselling colas and soft drinks.
