It's not particularly early in the morning, but I'm running late, sprinting for the only working escalator at Gatwick's north terminal. As I dash upwards, I see α pinstripe suit looming in front of me, with Tom Bloxham's (of developer Urban Splash) unmistakeable blond hair at its summit. It might have been the Prada suit bag over his shoulder intimidating me, but I didn't say anything until we reached the top of the stairs. We are the last two members of the 2007 Stirling Prize jury to arrive.
