Outrage at Pritzker jury

The Pritzker jury's decision not to retroactively include Denise Scott Brown in the 1991 Pritzker Prize given to Robert Venturi is simply outrageous. In my view architecture needs a version of South Africa's post-apartheid truth and reconciliation commission, at which we tell the truth about important women architects missing from history and redress the balance. Scott Brown is not the first and won't be the last woman in history to be abused by an institution we entrust with fair and honest judgement. The Pritzker jury's decision sends out the message that an entrenched and historically inaccurate position is the best to assume. All future award winners will be tarnished by association.
