Paddington Station is crucial. It is London's gateway to the West and Wales and the quickest route to Heathrow. It will experience a 60 percent increase in demand to 60 million passengers a year by 2030 following Crossrail's (Elizabeth Line) arrival in 2018. However, it is already an uncomfortable bottleneck, struggling to accommodate the number of people that pass through it.
