Perfecting the minor details

Wedderburn Road, shortlisted in this year's AJ Small Projects Awards, is a contemporary extension and alteration to a Grade ll-listed detached Victorian property in Hampstead. The new addition, built almost entirely o f glass, is topped with a marble-effect porcelain-clad canopy, which appears to float, allowing a clear view of the rear of the original Arts and Crafts house.
