According to a new study by David Rigby Associates, the current worldwide market volume for woven and nonwoven technical textiles is estimated to be over $60 billion, with an annual growth rate in Europe of 2.6% between 1995 and 2005, and of 3.8% worldwide. It is not surprising then, that April's Techtextil show in Frankfurt managed to attract such an impressive and constant stream of visitors to an event that, combined with the Interstoff clothing show as International Textile Week, boasted a total of over 1,000 exhibitors.
