SKF high capacity cylindrical roller bearings increase wind turbine gearbox life and performance

SKF's high capacity cylindrical roller bearings (HCCRB) have been designed for enhanced reliability and lubrication to extend wind turbine gearbox service life and optimize performance.rnThe bearings are available with two or four more rollers than standard execution cylindrical rollers bearings. This increases the load carrying capacity and therefore increases reliability of the bearings and the gearbox. The new design, including a low cross section cage, virtually eliminates the risk of damage by roller-to-roller smearing, which is a common failure mode in the current full complement bearings, with a cage, that are mostly selected for this application.
