The bold, feisty and vibrant work of Indonesian artist Eko Nugroho returns to Australia as part of "Rally: Contemporary Indonesian Art", a paired exhibition with Jompet Kuswidananto, at the National Gallery of Victoria (until 1 April, 2013).1 "I feel very honoured and proud to be able to present my work to different groups of audiences in Australia. Australia's history and culture is unique and rich; Indonesia is considered a neighbour and, like it or not, our cultures have rubbed off on each other one way or another. It is great to be back here again, and I hope we can continue to foster a deeper understanding through our (art) exchanges", Nugroho says.
