GENERAL TOTES: RANGE EXTENSIONS FOR GEOMYS BREVICEPS AND GEOMYS TEXENSIS (RODENTIA: GEOMYIDAE) IN TEXAS

Baird's pocket gopher, Geomys breviceps, is found in the eastern portion of Texas. The western limits of its range in the state are from Fannin County in the north to Falls County in central Texas and south- Eastward along the Brazos River to Brazoria County (Schmidly 1983; Davis & Schmidly 1994). In Oklahoma, the range of Geomys breviceps Extends westward to 0.8 km S of Thackerville, Love County (Cothran & Zimmerman 1985).
