Commerce Prepares To Lift ZTE Export Ban

The Commerce Department on July 11 signed an escrow agreement with ZTE Corp. that will lead to the department lifting an export denial order that had threatened to put the Chinese telecom company out of business. "Once ZTE has completed the $400 million escrow deposit, BIS will issue a notice lifting the denial order," the department's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced on Twitter.
