摘要

Electromagnetic signals backscattered from the fluctuations in the dielectric permittivity of the air which are due to an acoustic wave are received by stratosphere and ionosphere radio acoustic stations from distances up to 20 km [1]. For such sounding ranges, the influence of nonlinear effects in the propagation of acoustic vibrations with finite arnplitudes becomes more pronounced [2, 3]. Nonlinear distortions of the shape of the acoustic wave front can cause large energy loss; however, the determination of conditions under which sawtoothed spherical waves are formed is difficult because of the absence of necessary estimating relations.
