Something as simple as carrying books to school can be an interesting design challenge for students. It's an old problem that gets reinvented from time to time. I remember using a canvas bag, almost like a gym bag, to carry mine; and that was pretty standard back then. Today, young folks have backpacks for their books. Your challenge in this article is to work with your students to design yet another way to carry books to school.
