Reena Mital presents some of the key findings.rnIndia's overall market for technical textiles is already bigger and is set to grow even more than initially predicted, according to the findings of the latest report, published in March by the Textile Commissioner's Office. Baseline survey of the technical textile industry in India says that the market during 2007-2008 was worth Rs371.68 billion (about US$7,434 billion); a similar study by the Expert Committee on Technical Textiles (ECTT) in 2003-2004 had expected it to be Rs323.82 billion.
