A Model of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning: Opportunistic Group Formation

This paper proposes to construct a collaborative learning dynamic control model in which learning groups are formed and disbanded repeatedly in an environment in which a communication channel connects several learners and their professors. To construct several kinds of collaborative learning systems in the environment, we have to define several knowledge-level models related to collaborative learning communications. We have to identify what type of collaborative learning is required at what timing. This paper proposes a basic collaborative learning support model, shows the system configuration and basic design of the knowledge model, and discusses collaborative learning support from a general viewpoint.
