Operations technology (OT) systems that control equipment processes and automation within a company are very different from the information technology (IT) systems that run administrative and management processes-as are the people who work with and depend on these systems, says Dave Scheibenhoffer, director of market development at Real Time Innovations (RTI). Enhancing interoperability between OT and IT and making these systems work as one is RTI's key initiative for 2012.
