If one were to judge the UK's commitment to new energy by the attention that its most highly placed politicians give to renewable energy conferences, it would appear to be a very strong commitment. The European Future Energy Forum (EFEF) attracted more than 800 delegates to London. At the opening of the EFEF, sponsored by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) and UK Trade & Investment, the Prime Minister, David Cameron, appeared on video. Prince Charles, as Patron of the Masdar Institute of Science and Tech-nology, inscribed a message in the conference pro-gramme.
