This article is based on "Developing internal consulting capability within the National Trust" by Paul Boniface (The National Trust) and Billy Desmond (Ashridge Consulting), a submission paper for the European Foundation for ManagementrnDevelopment (EFMD) conference. It describes how Ashridge Consulting, part of a leading European business school, worked in collaboration with The National Trust, the charity which conserves heritage buildings and places in England, Wales and Northern Ireland - to provide a development program for Functional Advisors.
