Antonio J. Busalacchi takes over Aug. 1 as president of the UNIVERSITY CORPORATION FOR ATMOSPHERIC RESEARCH. He joins Boulder, Colorado-based UCAR from the University of Maryland, where he is professor of atmospheric and oceanic science and director of the Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center. UCAR has been without a president since Tom Bogdan departed last summer. MARTIN C. FAGA, the former NATIONAL RECONNAISSANCE OFFICE director who led the U.S. spy satellite agency through the 1992 declassification of its existence, was awarded the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation's Arthur C. Lundahl-Thomas C. Finnie Lifetime Achievement Award during the foundation's annual conference.
