Imaqinova Announces Executive and Editorial Staff Changes at Spdce News

Imaginova Corp., whose Trade Publishing division includes Space News, announced Oct. 24 three promotions and the departure of Space News Editor Lon Rains. The staff changes include: 1. Bill Klanke, currently the vice president and publisher of Space News, has been named the general manager of Imaginova's Trade Publishing division. He will continue to be responsible for the publication's advertising and circulation management and lead the business development efforts for the Trade Publishing division. 2. Warren Ferster, currently deputy editor of Space News, will be promoted to editor-in-chief to assume Rains' role. He will be responsible for overseeing all of the news and editorial coverage in the print publication as well as on the Web site. He will report to Klanke. Brian Berger, currently senior staff writer at Space News and the newspaper's NASA beat reporter, will be promoted to deputy editor. Berger will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Space News' editorial department and will report to Ferster. Becky Iannotta, currently a general assignment reporter, will take over the NASA beat.
