The end of the Bolden era

The end is near. On Jan. 20, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will depart the agency, almost exactly seven and a half years after being sworn in. That tenure is among the longest for a NASA administrator - and about as long as James Webb, the legendary Apollo-era leader of the agency. As his time at NASA draws to a close, featuring commemorations including a Jan. 12 town hall event for agency employees at NASA Headquarters and a video retrospective narrated by actor LeVar Burton, a question naturally comes to mind: what will be Bolden's legacy at NASA?
