BREWING herbal tea is a Chinese tradition stretching back into pre-history but the biggest brew-up of the past few years has been the legal case pitting Jiaduobao Drink & Food Co against Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Corporation. The stoush centred on the rights to the trade name and distinctive red can of Wanglaoji, a herbal tea which sells in huge quantities throughout the PRC and elsewhere in Asia. It can be found in Chinese grocery outlets around the world.
