Since the Yakult Lactobacillus beverage phenomenon reached India in 2008 its popularity has been growing exponentially. Now the options have been extended by the addition of Yakult Light. The Light variant was launched in Mumbai by popular film actress and international TV personality Shilpa Shetty Kundra who is also renowned for her fitness activities. Her business interests have included co-ownership of a spa chain and of a professional cricket team.
