Ky. utility awards 120,000-ton coal supply contract to refined coal producer

East Kentucky Power Cooperative Inc. has awarded a 120,000-ton coalrnsupply contract to Bowie Resources LLC affiliate Bowie Refined Coal LLC,rnaccording to a filing with the Kentucky Public Service Commission.rnBowie Refined will provide the H.L. Spurlock power station with approximatelyrn20,000 tons of coal per month under the contract term of Sept. 1rnthrough Feb. 28, 2017. The coal is being sourced from BRCrnGreenfuels LLC mine in Estill County, Ky.
