Along with a 38,000-square-foot wave pool and multiple amusement park rides, a newly constructed waterpark near Atlanta also includes 22 buildings outfitted with colorful standing-seam metal roofing. Petersen Aluminum's bright Pac-Clad metal roof panels were selected to complement the tropical island theme of Six Flags Over Georgia's new Hurricane Harbor waterpark. Project officials say the aluminum panels were also chosen because of the buildings' proximity to chlorinated water, which can be tough on building materials. Rick Primm, president of Tucker, Ga.-based roofing contractor R.E. Primm & Co., said due to a tight deadline, the project team had to bring on more help to complete construction.
