Jim Gates is the business development manager for military satellite commu-nications and advanced programs in the Boeing Integrated Defense Los Angeles field office. He is responsible for key national communication, propulsion and advanced programs at the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Los Angeles Air Force Base; the Air Force Research Laboratory, Edwards Air Force Base, California; and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California.
