AFCEAN of the Month

Capt. Murat Dogen, TUAF, has been an outstanding leader and active member for the Turkiye Chapter since 2015. Just before joining, he won the 127th AFCEA John McReynolds Wozencraft Academic Honor Award in Electrical and Computer Engineering while earning his master's degree in Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He has been serving faithfully as the Young AFCEAN point of contact for the chapter, helping to engage young professionals in the area. Capt. Dogen has been instrumental in bringing in new members to the chapter over the last year, during a time when it has been difficult to recruit without face-to-face events. He has played an important role in growing student membership by working with AFCEA International to identify and award memberships to 15 deserving students. Capt. Dogen is currently serving as a NATO officer in the Allied Air Command Headquarters, Ramstein, Germany. An active-duty Turkish Air Force officer, Dogen spent most of his career in the Air Force Headquarters as a project manager in procurement programs. For his dedication to the chapter and the association, AFCEA proudly names Capt. Murat Dogen, TUAF, AFCEAN of the month.
