Reflections on Distance Learning

摘要

Distance learning (DL) provides conditions that meet the constraints of individuals who work, raise a family, manage a household or serve in the military. Basically, DL is not space or time dependent and usually is not based on a central campus where lecturers and students gather, and in many cases no prerequisites are needed before enrolling. Thus, DL makes higher education available to those who wish to study but cannot do so in traditional universities.
