Fresh hope for Campbeltown

The new Scottish Government has included subsidy provision for a revival of the Campbeltown-Ballycastle passenger and vehicle ferry link, last operated in 1999, as part of a £37 million ferry operations budget for the period 2008-11. Scottish Government officials and representatives of the Northern Ireland Executive are continuing discussions on working arrangements and say an announcement will be made soon.
