In 1890 Moulder's first new steamers were given names ending 'Grange', as in 1878 Edwin Houlder had moved to a house simply called The Grange' at Sutton in Surrey. Although there were very many exceptions, this scheme endured until the 1980s, with the first letter of the first word always being one of the letters of 'Houlder Brothers'. As can be seen from the table, some names were more popular than others.
