Shipments of grain resume

Despite the poor summer weather in the UK causing a bad grain harvest, the Cerestar Wharf (now Caygills) on the Manchester Ship Canal has started to import grain once more. Shipments are usually undertaken by coasters of the Arklow fleet, and several arrived around the turn of the year. The 4,485dwt Irish flag Arklow Rainbow arrived at Cerestar on 6 January to unload, but not without problems.
