Mexican supply vessel is first of a new breed

Mexican supply vessel operator Naviera Tamaulipas is shortly to take delivery of El Pionero, the first example of a new class of offshore supply vessel, the K202, designed by Kvaerner Masa-Marine (KMM) and built by Bender Shipbuilding in the US. KMM has become well known as a designer of supply vessels and anchor handlers for the North American and Latin American markets, and currently has a database containing designs for more than 70 offshore supply vessels of varying types, many of which are currently in service.
