Exeter returns to Maltese ferry lanes

UK boatbuilder Exeter Maritime Services has delivered a second set of sister ferries to the Mediterranean island of Malta, in the form of the newly launched monohulls Babella Ⅰ and Babetta Ⅱ. The contract follows the 2014 construction and delivery of the 19.3m × 6.6m catamaran ferries Topcat One and Topcat Two, which Exeter completed for Maltese operator Marsamxetto Steamferry Services in a deal that represented its debut contract in that territory. Since then, each Topcat has been carrying up to 160 passengers across Valletta's Grand Harbour and Marsamxetto Harbour.
